Current Events QTR 2 Week 8: Iran frees woman, Sakineh Mohammadi-Ashtiani, sentenced to death by stoning for adultery

This is what happens when you commit adultery in Iran ^

"We have got news from Iran that they are free," Mina Ahadi, the spokesperson for the anti-stoning commitee says in Iran. "We are waiting for another confirmation: apparently there will be a program this evening on (Iranian) television and then we will be 100 per cent sure." Well that program ran, and she's free. 
     Sakineh Mohammadi-Ashtiani, a 43 year old lady with 2 kids was given death sentences by 2 different courts in a small town in Iran called Tabriz all the way back in 2006. She was involved with the killing of her husband(which caused her jail time), and in 2007 they added the hanging onto a 10 year jail sentence. But after a SEACOND case of adultery, the woman will be stoned, along with the person who killed her husband.


Well, I don't know much about the customs and cultures about Iranians, but i do know that isn't cool. Wherever you live. I don't exactly agree with the whole death sentence-stoning-jail time ordeal. I do believe that adultery and murder isn't good, but killing someone for killing? Doesn't make a point in my head. Now I do believe that you should have some consequence for murder, but that is not it.

Current Events QTR 2 Week 7: Iraq buying ammunition, C4ISR systems

Washington, today. News is released that Iraq is in the market for C4ISR systems and other various parts and equipment all worth $68,000,000. A C4ISR system consists of High-Frequency, Ultra High-Frequency and Very High-Frequency radios, Automatic Identification System, Surface Scan Radar System, Forward Looking Infrared System, Situational Display System, Mobile and Fixed Towers and Electro-Optical Cameras. Oh, and they include other things as well. The "other equipment and various parts" consist of Voice over Internet Protocol, K Under Band Very Small Aperture Terminal upgrades, generators, spare and repair parts, support equipment, publications and technical data, personnel training and training equipment, engineering and technical support services, and other related logistical support. They are ALSO requesting to buy AMMO such as 14,010 TP-T M831A1 120mm Cartridges, 16,110 TPCSDS-T M865 120mm Cartridges, and 3,510 HEAT-MP-T M830A1 120mm Cartridges for M1A1 Abrams tanks. 


Well that's pretty cool. I hope that they approve of the purchase. Iraq is a good country, and as long as Iran is still doing all that nuclear deal, the more ammo and weapons Iraq has to defend itself the better. Not approving of the purchase would simply be a bad decision on our part. We have been working on Iraq for quite some time now and probably made somewhat of acquaintances with them and it would be just horrible to leave them defenseless. At least they are asking us unlike Iran, and the least we can do is sell them some war machines. :)

Iran FINALLY decides to talk about the All controversial topic of what exactly they're doing with their nuclear power plants. They were too scared to talk to US directly, so they talked through turkey. They say that although the many opinions on what they're doing with the plants, they deny doing anything military. Lindsay Graham (the US senate republic) thinks that we should shut down Iran's Navy and Air force if Tehran doesn't stop their nuclear branches. He, while speaking to Halifax International Security, says that if not stopped soon, will get big enough to the point where a conventional limited air strike won't take it out. 

"Where probably even past that point." he says.

 Graham say that "We should just take away their ability to start war against ally countries." Iran and us hasen't been talking to us about this subject for about a year now, but obviously has made it so that is going to change. They say that they will begin meeting about the subject, "After November 10th" EU Foreign Policy Chief Catherine Ashton said. 

They also said that "October 29th was very significant."

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad layed out a very strict line that they will have meetings about their nuclear but won't surrender ANY of their rights to peaceful nuclear energy development. 

"Holding talks with Iran is the best choice for you. You have no other option. All other options are closed. You know the fact very well." says IRANIAN PRESIDENT.

He also says that their nuclear power group is part of the UN.

Hmmm, something smells fishy here. I can't put my finger on it exactly, Hmmmm, oh I got it now! THEY MIGHT JUST BE BUILDING A BOMB, AND TELLING US THAT THEY ARE AND THAT WE CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. OH, we can do something about it, we can do something about it... >:D Just wait until they keep making threats to us like that... US will snap eventually... Oh they'll surrender they're international right to "Peaceful"  nuclear energy if we want them to!!

The world being, every now and then, something cool happens. Yeah, the Aptera 2E is one of those things. Depending on how popular it gets, it could be a heavy alternative to most cars. While in California traffic, Steve Fambro wished he could make a car to go around the others in a special "high efficiency" lane. Well he made the car, now all thats left is or the lane. In California, he had good reason to ask for help from Detroit. Engineers, marketing brains, and management experts soon joined the team which ended up helping him score big in the Progressive Insurance "X Prize" using the cars prototype. Automobile says that it has most of the latest technology and controlling systems. This 3 wheel car has only 0.15 drag coefficient, weighs 2225 lbs, has 25% less friction than the average car. It has the equivalent of today's car's MPG, if it ran on gas, instead it runs entirely on electricity. It has a steel tubing frame, 20 hour battery life, and if very sturdy. 


I think that it is a very good idea. But a "high efficiency lane" would only make traffic slower. Making the thing so light, they took out A LOT of good stuff such as moving windows, A TRUNK, a radio, etc. It is strictly for getting from place to place. Thats it. But with no gas and being "green" and all, I have a feeling that the car is going to be a hit. That is, depending on how much the thing costs, ;)

That's right, we've all heard it. Even if we all weren't lucky enough to see the video, I'm sure that anyone born in the 80's of even the early 90's or earlier has heard the song. But for those who have seen/enjoyed the Thriller video, I've got some good news for you. They're making a movie about it. Just in time for Halloween, too. You know what that means. Gettin' on the old red jacket and some yellow contacts. The directors going to be Kenny Ortega — who directed last year’s This is it along with Jeremy Garelick (the hangover) who's doing the screenplay. No one knows what the movie evens going to be about yet, but it is going to have to do with the song somehow. And with lyrics like "There ain’t no second chance against the thing with forty eyes, girl," There's not really any hints. Will it mean that it'll be a combo of a misty graveyard or MJ's awesome moves. NOBODY KNOWS...
       I liked him a lot, for the few songs I actually know. And I have seen the video, and you could call that a video all by itself. But to take some old guy to do his part AFTER HE'S DEAD, is just crazy. I mean, they sold all his stuff, so they're not even going to be used. From the situation being, I think its going to be a flop. So I think that with a director They SAY is good, and a screenplay maker who obviously is better in comedy, it doesn't seem that good idea. I might see it, not if it gets the hype like This is it did, I'm good not sleeping in a tent and all that.

There is the REAL Elton I know. The one who in almost every picture would be flashing peace signs. Yes, he did from time to time wear some wild outfits,
 
But that DOES NOT make him the "Perfect match" for a song with Lady GaGa. Elton John does have "His own" type of music, But it is COMPLETEELY different from whatever the heck Lady GaGa's "Style" of music is. Those 2 people DO NOT match, i swear. If they both make a single, all He's gunna be doing is Playing piano or Acoustic Guitar. That is what i have to say about that.

Current Events Week 6: 'The Social Network': All hail Armie Hammer!

The Social Network. Wow. They're making movies off of websites now? What the heck?! I have not seen the movie yet, but as the people of fox 13 news, EW magazine and  Mark Zuckerberg; the maker of Facebook himself, says that the movie used untrue, fake and humiliating storyline. The storyline is about a young man named Armie Hammer who played Mark and how he made the website and watched it grow. EW says that Armie did a great job in playin his part, but Mark says the parts were good, but not true. I would have to see the movie AND meet Mark to find out if the facts are correct, but all that EW associates is that he did a great job playing the (possibly fake) parts.

Lady Gaga is just straight up weird. Seriously, who would make themselves such a freak just because?!
I mean, I understand that thats her "trademark" and that she's "a freak of nature" that makes millions of people throughout the world say "Oh look at her, shes so creative! You represent billions of girls around the country. YOU GO GIRL!" sigh... Liking people for their music is one thing, and looking good/cool while doing so I'm fine with. But when you go so far as to changing your outfit/costume thing every time you accept an award every 10 minutes, is rediculous. I LOVE slipknot. One of my favorite bands. And yes, they wear crazy masks and disturbing costumes, which I admit, is pretty awesome, but thats not the reason theyre popular.

I like them for their MUSIC. And I feel if youre just wearing some crazy outfit just for popularity, its kinda wrong.

Katy Perry has a "Too low-cut skirt to be on a little kid show" PAH-LEASE....
Her appearance on Seasame Street she said several times that it (would have been) "The highlight of her carreer" ALSO including a remix of her hit "Hot and Cold", including Elmo himself, called "Stop and go" where her and Elmo play a game of tag. "She's showwing too much skin" ITS A SKIRT!!! I really could care less whether or not my child see's legs... ALL THE CHARACTERS ON THE SHOW ARE NAKED!!!!!!! Anybody complain about the puppets being naked? Katy Perry and basically every other celeberty already is a puppet! Between all the Plastic Surgery, Botox, Pills, Drugs, Alcohol, THEYRE NOT EVEN LIVING IN THEYRE OWN BODY!! Excuse me if Im wrong but that is my definition of a puppet.

Michael Garret found a small, little lizard in Sadam Hussain's old ammo bunkers. He sent in a picture of it (below) and a small description of what he saw on the little gecko.

He says that it doesnt have lil pads or adhesive on his feet, but its an excellent climber, its not aggressive, but warns you by a little chirping or barking sound when he picked it up. He asked what it is, and if its a new species he says that he would like to name it.

The makers of reptile channel send him back saying that its a "bent-toed gecko of the genus Cyrtopodium".

Its type (genus) is usually found in rocky terrain or such as under flaky rocks or small shrubs. They actually are often found in the bunkers or other underground areas built by humans because they offer a cool, wet, humid climate as the geckos LOVE.

So even though Michael didnt find a new species, atleast he got his question answered :)

A 5 sentence summary of the BP oil spill article wont b easy, but im still gunna try.
basically, in a nutshell, the summary was a ahort, snappy, little 8 paragaph article including over exagerated qoutes and bits nd peices of concerns, and who did what explanations. "i dnt c a future of evr catchin another fresh fish evr again." wow. could u exagerate any more? i mean, yes the oil spill sucks nd were prob not gunna b able to eat a fish or order one from a resturant w/o the reassurance of the fact that were not eating oil, but its not like all the fish are dead! flip over to 'sunsports' right now and u will no dougbt u will c some people catchin some fish, though it might not b live or new episodes, but thats besides the point. saying ''i will nevr catch another fish again'' is like saying ur deing wen u skinned ur knee. nd to put some details on how much putrolium US uses per day is COMPLETELY off topic.
